Batman Arkham Asylum
Challenge Modes:The challenge mode gives this game major replay value, not saying that I actually finished the game yet but I would definately hold on to this game just for that. Each challenge has its own set of rules and quotas. Some have you battling multiple rounds of thugs with each round adding more thugs with better abilities. There are other rounds where the key is to takedown several armed criminals without being detected in the shortest amount of time possible. It gets kind of hairy, but as you progress thru the storyline you can upgrade Batman making it easier to comeback to the challenge mode and complete some of the harder objectives.
Intensive Treatment Challenge:The first of many challenge modes unlocked in this glorious game, Intensive Treatment is just a warm up to the challenges ahead. The commentary by the Joker, as far as I can see is unique from the storyline game and make this mode that much more attractive. The thugs in this round are your typical unarmed thugs. The best way to get thru is to string together a nice freeflowing combo for the best possible score.
Silent Knight:In this challenge you have to take down 6 armed criminals in the shortest amount of time possible. This job is made easier if you have the Sonic Batarang which will draw their attention in what ever direction you throw it in. So far, I can get it done in 4 minutes which may sound good but I’m ranked 346597.
Sewer Bat:This is a 4 round challenge. Your enemies are great in number and strength. Be fore warned, some of these guys are armed with knives and some can pull fuse boxes and pipes off of the wall to throw at you. Round 1 has 4 guys unarmed. Round 2 has 4 thugs. 1 knife carrier and 1 hooded are the new editions for this round. Round 3 has 7 unarmed thugs with the ability to rip pipes from the wall. And Round 4 has 8 guys, 1 armed with a knife 2 hooded and all of them are able to rip pipes and boxes from the wall for weapons.
