Welcome back fellow gamers! This time around we are traveling back to 1992 when quarters were sacred and arcades were sanctuaries for many gamers. Meeting at the local arcade, or in some instances restaurant, was the culmination of an intense week of being human. This journey takes us back to one of Team Max@Play’s fondest memories of playing the Uncanny Xmen. at the time this was one of the largest, if not the largest, game cabinet ever. It filled whole sections of arcades and featured 2 side by side screens to cover all the action. Its size was mainly credited to the fact it featured room for 6 players to play at the same time. Players would step up to whatever joystick was free and the character painted next to was you, and that’s how character select worked. Xmen wasn’t quite cannon but it was plausible and enjoyable. Take a look at the video of the game play and let us know what you think.
