Nintendo Announces Next Generation Console
Nintendo has announced a new console called “NX,” to replace the Wii U.
“We are not disclosing specific information, as it is provisional,” the company said. Last year Nintendo president and CEO Tatsumi Kimishima said that the company was “not building the next version of Wii or Wii U” and that the device will be something “unique and different.”
Nintendo announced the new NX within a financial report saying it will be a “brand new concept.”
Nintendo said the new Legend of Zelda game will be the focus of the company’s showcase at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June and not the console.
NX will be unveiled later this year.
