Vengeance paid in blood: Castlevania season 2
Hello fellow anime lovers! Team Maxatplay are true fans of the Netflix original series and the story of Dracula is no different. The first season of Castlevania was extremely short but well written with a cliffhanger that had viewers waiting on baited breath to see what happened. Just to warm everyone there are potential SPOILERS so if you don’t want to know what happens beyond this point you should watch our video of the fight between Meliodis and Ban from the Seven Deadly Sins.
Season 2 resumes with Dracula gathering his armies and minions of the night to completely rid the world of the human race over the church’s brutal murder of his human wife. His vampire generals gathered with excitement over the feast to come but discord was fostered due to things like why now and why are Dracula’s army being led by two humans. If that weren’t enough, there are those with their own treacherous agenda.
On the other side of the war, we have the last of the hunters Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades a speaker and the elders granddaughter, and Alucard Tepes, Dracula’s son. This trip of unlikely unified heroes come together to stop Dracula and end his reign of terror. Their interactions began quite hostile with Trevor being the last of his clan and love long demon Hunter being teamed up with the half human vampire Alucard. Sypha, being the voice of reason, works her magic and before it’s done the two boys are more like fighting siblings than life long enemies. It was also the energy that Sypha may choose one of them as a suitor, so we paid careful attention to their chemistry.
Overall the animation and voice acting were amazing. The battles pulled you in and the moments that were tear jerkers will have you grabbing your chest as your heart breaks more than once. So go ahead and binge watch season 2 and let us know what you think in the comment section below.
