Alright fellow cleaners, Back 4 Blood is living up to its name and making it rain, blood. This is definitely a product of a well-tweaked beta and Team Max@Play is loving it. Already a beautiful game we dive right in attempting to skip whatever is in the way of straight gameplay. The in-game conversation between the characters has been ramped up, getting you more immersed in the story and lore. The move of skipping the homework definitely has us ready to start over. The version Team Max@Play is playing comes courtesy of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via PC. Xbox is definitely winning by including the base game for free, the DLC has to be purchased.

One of the first things noticed was that the Ridden, aka zombies, move differently. Some move as if injured already and others were professional athletes before all of this. We never expected an Exploder to maneuver so swiftly because of his size. Almost as fear-inducing as the Tallboy when he charges. There also appears to be a thing with line of sight, as in not being to shoot through the brush, but more game time will reveal all.

Some quick tips for playing:

Back 4 Blood
Back 4 Blood
  • Stay together – B4B follows similar rules as its predecessor Left 4 Dead. One of those things is that there is safety in numbers, so keep your friends close.
  • Help your team – Consider this, if your health is good and your team needs a boost don’t horde. Heal your Team
  • Watch your corners – More importantly watch your back and be prepared to run. Ridden can spawn anywhere around you and the last thing you need is to lose track of one behind you.

As the game unfolds a bit more Team Max@Play will come with some awesome strategies to heighten your gaming experience. In the meantime, Polygon has put together a pretty good beginner’s guide to Back 4 Blood. Let us know what you think in the comment section below. Thanks for visiting Max@Play
