I would consider this year to be the first Youmacon post COVID-19. First before I get to the schedules, guest and activities I’m going to talk about their Personal Protection Policy as far as keeping everyone safe and healthy.
All attendees are required to be fully vaccinated or show proof of a negative PCR test taken within at least 72 hours before attending the event. There will be two verification booths at the Huntington Place and the Renaissance Center where attendees can get verification sticker put on their badge to gain entry into any Youmacon event space attendees will be required to present both an event badge as well as a verification sticker. To show proof of vaccination you must have physical vaccine card showing you’ve had at least two doses of the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccine along with a photo ID. Booster shots are recommended but not required. Also for other forms of vaccination card include Epic medical record of vaccination, MCIR record of vaccination, Equivalent records from other countries. Also wearing wearing an approved face covering at all times while indoors in Youmacon controlled spaces is required. Face coverings that fit closely to the face, covering the mouth and nose must be worn at all times while indoors at Youmacon event areas. The use of N-95 or KN-95 masks is highly recommended. Vaccinations are not required for children 5 or younger and children younger than 2 are not required to wear a mask.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program
If you’ve been trying to go to Youmacon since 2020 it’s understand that there might have been some problems and you rolled over your badge to the following year. Anyone with a 2020 badge will be allowed to roll over their badge to 2022 and all international travelers or people affected by travel restrictions will be allowed to roll over their badge from 2021 to 2022 and if you’re interested in selling or trading your badge you can join the Discord.
As you know there are way too many events going on at Youmacon for me to list them all, but you mentioned a few there are street Fighter 5 video game competition, 18 + events and Adventures In Voice Acting, a Mini Workshop with Tony Oliver and you can find the rest in their Guidebook app downloadable here.
