Checking out 2016 Midwest Media Expo
Dearborn, MI. Pulling into the parking lot of the Edward Village Michigan, formerly the Dearborn Hyatt Regency, the excitement of the Midwest Media Expo had
spilled over into the parking lot. Cos-players participating in a variety of photo sessions in the greenery surround the venue. Photographers of every level can be seen conducting sessions as their models show off their beautifully designed costumes. Entering the lobby opened up immediate photo opportunities with Spider-Man displaying his lack of enthusiasm for his relationship with Deadpool.
The 2016 Midwest Media Expo was a little smaller than anticipated with regard to square footage but made up with a passionate staff and enough Umbrella Corp soldiers to suppress any zombie outbreak that may have taken place. The game room, which is always a Max@Play favorite, was a very intimate arena of fighting, fast driving and music rhythm game beauty. Team Max@Play was introduced to a popular con game name as Jubeat where the player tapped lit up squares matching the pattern to a wide variety of music from overseas. Mini fighting tournaments took over half of the room while the remainder of the room was surrounded by fans of Dance Dance Revolution.
Team Max@Play was lucky enough to share a room with voice actor Kyle Hebert – Midwest Media Expo. Hebert is responsible for Wreck-It Ralph/Street Fighter (Ryu), Naruto (Kiba), Bleach (Aizen, Ganju) among many other popular voices. More information can be found about Hebert onKyle Hebert.
