Perhaps you’ve heard of it? The biggest wrestling event of the year that brings in fans from all around the globe. These fans gather and have a great time immersing themselves in what they love. Not just for a single day. Usually, for an entire week.
The “Granddaddy of Them All” acts as a beacon not only to wrestling fans but to other promotions and events, as well. Whatever city is fortunate enough to claim a WrestleMania also gets to house other events that hope to be that outlet for fans to not only share experiences with each other but with wrestling personalities themselves. One of these big events is WrestleCon. A large convention – not unlike San Diego Comic-Con – where fans and wrestling personalities can mingle and share in their love of this sport/performance art form. WrestleCon will be held on April 5-8, 2018 and it will emanate from the Sheraton in New Orleans, LA. There will
also be live wrestling as part of the event taking place at The Sugar Mill at 1021 Convention Center Blvd., directly across from Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Those appearing at WrestleCon span the wrestling world with such names as Steve Austin, Goldberg, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Sting, Ric Flair, Trish Stratus, Amy “Lita” Dumas, Mick Foley and many, many more.
If you will be in the New Orleans area for the biggest wrestling events of the year, it is well worth your time to attend an event such as WrestleCon. Being able to rub elbows and meet such stars of the wrestling world is a blast on its own. When you couple this with being able to watch live wrestling and still be able to catch a massive event like WrestleMania? Well, that is something that any true fan of professional wrestling owes to themselves to experience at least once!
