His whole world changes when Musubi literally falls into his life and brings him into the world of Sekirei by making him her ashikabi. Just for clarity, an ashikabi is a human that has formed a bond with a Sekirei usually finalized with a transfer of DNA, most popular is a kiss. Once this bond is created the Sekirei will be considered emerged and then be able realize their full potential and power. The Sekirei are the pawns in a much larger game where they are meant to battle one another until there is only one left. The duo that survives this game will be able to ascend to the highest of levels. Minato’s life continues to get more complicated as he becomes the object of affection after helping several Sekirei emerge. Not only is he fighting for his life but attempting to stay sane dealing with the affection of the ladies in his life.
