The highlights of Colossalcon 2019 at The Kalahari Resorts

Sandusky, OH at the amazing Kalahari Resorts and Water park is where thousands of anime and manga fans landed for an outstanding 5 days of fun in the sun at Colossalcon 2019. The Colossal crew kicked things up a notch in so many areas it’s hard to know where to start. There was the extended day, panels with elaborate setups, the tournaments in the game room, concerts with lines that wrapped around the convention and even a very sexy burlesque show. 5 days of Otaku

Most conventions have a 3 day life span with opening ceremonies on Friday and closing ceremonies that Sunday. This year, Colossal had the game room open and ready for attendees on Wednesday and Panels starting as early as 10 am Thursday. Even though Wednesday was only open to those who pre registered, add it up and that’s 5 days.

Heroes vs Villains Game show

Jeopardy style trivia game putting the heroes and villains of My Hero Academia to the test of wits, strength and knowledge.

90s Anime Explosion

This panel discussed the first big anime explosion in North America featuring awesome shows as Pokemon, Digimon and Yugi-oh.

Nihana: K-Pop, J-Pop, C-pop Dance Party

The livest dance party of the weekend. You got 90 seconds to show off the choreography from your favorite bands.

Bubble Pop Burlesque

Colossalcon attendees were treated to a very curvy burlesque show starring the ladies and gentleman of Bubble Pop Burlesque

House of Robotic Destruction

Robots battling it out in their grand finals at Colossalcon. HORD featured four weight classes; Fairy (150 gram), Ant (1 lb), Beetle (3 lbs) and Mantis (6lbs). Trophies and prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finalist in each class.

Kahza Concert

This Japanese Rock Band has returned to Colossalcon to bring the energy.

Professor Shyguy Concert

With an amazing amount of music in his catalog Professor Shyguy is a returning force to the Colossalcon Arena. His merch both is in the most prime location with some of the dopest shirts available. His stage show and energy can be felt throughout the entire resort.
