Discord is now integrated with PlayStation

PlayStation users are now able to connect their Playstation Network accounts to Discord. Currently its only available for for North American players on PS5 and PS4. Over the next few week other countries will be added. This is a new integration between the gaming platform Discord and the console. This means you’ll be able display your PlayStation gaming and activity on Discord. Sony interactive entertainment first began discussions of a partnership with Discord back in May. This was a few months after Discord was in talks to be acquired by Microsoft for $10 billion in March according to Bloomberg. You’ll be able to display your playStation Network online ID and you can see if a friend is playing a game that supports cross platforming.

How to Connect your PlayStation Network Account to Discord

If you’ve linked another account to Discord such as Spotify or Twitch this should be rather simple.

Login to your Discord account and, open User Settings . If on mobile, go to User Settings > Connections.

Then click on the PlayStation icon.

A pop-up will show asking you to log into your PlayStation account. Once you’re connected you have two options to display your PlayStation account status “Display on Profile” which will only show your name to other users and “Display PlayStation Network as your status.” this will show your game activity other users.
