Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet to be newest games in Pokémon franchise

During its livestream The Pokémon Company today debuted it’s newest generation of Pokémon games titled Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.

The game which is expected to come out later this year is the 9th Generation in the Pokémon video game series. When the trailer dropped audiences were introduced to it’s three starting Pokémon which every Pokémon trainer has to choose from in the beginning of the game.

The three starter Pokémon are Sprigatito, Grass Cat Pokémon;” Fuecoco, a “Fire Croc Pokémon” and Quaxly, an “Water Duckling Pokémon.” The Pokémon Company says it will be an truly be “an open world of Pokémon”

In addition, to these new games the series will take “a new evolutionary step, allowing you to explore freely in a richly expressed open world.”

Pokémon will be seeable in forest sea and in skies with no borders towns blend seamlessly into the wilderness with no borders. “You’ll be able to experience the true joy of the Pokémon series—battling against wild Pokémon in order to catch them—now in an open-world game that players of any age can enjoy.”
