Overwatch 2 will replace it’s predecessor

Fans of the original Overwatch will only get to play the game for a little while longer only until Overwatch 2 comes out in October. Once the game is released the original Overwatch will no longer be playable. During a Reddit AMA video game developer, Blizzard Entertainment announced the rewrite would add additional character skins, content and maps.

In addition, Overwatch 2 will be a free-to-play game and all unopened loot boxes will be automatically transferred into your new account inventory.

Currently, the game going through a beta phase where it’s testing hero balancing and server capacity.

Players who want to join the OverWatch 2 Beta can opt-in, but access will be denied by July 14th. You can gain immediate access by purchasing the Overwatch Watchpoint pack.

Overwatch 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch, Playstation, Xbox and PC on October 4th and will be be free-to-play.
