Sony’s new licensed controller is here and it has a Backbone

Today Sony revealed it’s next big controller and no it’s not a DualSense or DualShock, it’s a backbone in collaboration with Backbone the companies have made Backbone One specifically for the PlatStation to be precise, which seems to be an attempt for Sony to caught up with Microsoft in the “mobile gaming market”. The Backbone One PlayStation edition is a “controller” that lets you plug in your iPhone and play your PlayStation games through remote play via the PS Remote Play app. This will turn your iPhone into a PS4 or PS5, the only catch is that you need to have a good enough internet connection to play whatever game you want. (5 Mbps is the minimum to run but the recommended speed is 15 Mbps)  However if you don’t have a Playstation and still want to play your games on a control style set up, the Backbone is compatible with Apple’s Apple Arcade as well.

One of the more notable features is that the Backbone has 3.5 mm headphone jack at the bottom so people can use their headphones or if you have Sony PULSE 3D Wireless headphones, they are also compatible with the Backbone.

The Backbone One – PlayStation Edition is available now at 99.99 USD retail price at Best Buy or Backbone (If you get it at backbone 3 month free trial of Discord Nitro a one month free trial of Apple Arcade and in 2 months free trial of Stadia Pro.)
