Is Black Panther the next solo Marvel game?

In the slew of news and releases that came with San Diego Comic Con a rumor came out that EA of all companies may be working on a single player, open world Black Panther game, this coming right the heels on the new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer. The details of the games are few and far between, but what we can gleam so far is that instead of starting the game off as the Black Panther and working to gain the trust of the people, you will begin by taking on tasks and challenges in order to put your name in to become the new Black Panther following the death of the previous Black Panther.

In terms of game development the game is very early on which could be anywhere from wrapping up preproduction to trying to figure out how to implement the ideas the developers [Respawn] have into the engine, so we won’t be seeing hide nor hair of the game until at least the end of 2023. EA wants to continue the positive push they received with Jedi: Fallen Order which got above average reviews following all the middling reviews from the Assassin’s Creed games.
