Max@Play Favs from 2020

What was your favorite game from 2020?

Welcome back Music Lovers! This Music Monday entry highlights some of the games Team Max@Play was completely obsessed with in 2020. This year we took a step back from announcing a game of the year and just wanted to focus on what we all loved. The music is by Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and features Lil Jon, Busta Rhymes, Twista and Yela Wolf. “Lets Go!” seemed like the appropriate theme song for kicking off 2021 and features few of the decades hottest performers.

Katana Zero

Discovered this side scrolling time manipulating hack and slash adventure via the XBox GamePass

Grand Theft Auto V

Has been around for 3 console generations and is still kicking with arguably the most active online community outside of Among Us

Crackdown 3

Probably the weakest of the series, Crackdown 3 does actually feature Terry Crews as a playable character, even if he doesn’t speak at all after the opening sequence.

Ruiner

A top down gory shoot ‘em up where time is not on your side. This one almost slid under the radar and gets major points for style.

World War Z

Should be an obvious entry because we love our zombie hordes at Team Max@Play. The latest update introduced some new clases and perks and we are patiently waiting to see whats next for this game.

Brawlhalla

This 4 player free for all fighter is definitely worth the play through. Don’t miss out on the expansion and mobile adaptation

Streets of Rage

The latest entry in a classic series keeps the side scrolling esthetic while polishing it up and revamping the story telling.

Cyberpunk 2077

Has had one of the roughest releases of all the games dropped in 2020. If you weren’t running a next generation console or PC you are missing out on a stunning beautiful world and intense, glitchy, gameplay

Destiny 2

Another game that wasn’t quite done in the oven, received massive updates and expansions bring it back into the light for all to enjoy.

Neon Abyss

Team Max@Play can’t escape the fun in a side scrolling, platformer with awesome vibes

Grounded

Get shrunk down to insect level in the backyard and try to survive by scavenging supplies and crafting weapons and tools. Beware of spiders and fire ants for a whole nother reason.

This isn’t every game just some of the Team favorites. What were your favorite games in 2020? Let us know in the comment section below.
