It’s time to rock Detroit!

Welcome back fellow convention-goers! The excitement in Motorcity is reaching epic proportions. Team Max@Play is gearing up to cover its first convention since the Coronavirus swept the world. There is no better convention to start with than our home, Youmacon. It’s been 2 years since the last in-person event and the anticipation is overwhelming. Let’s take a quick look at what’s about to take place.

Walter Emanuel Jones - The Black Ranger — Walter Emanuel Jones – The Black Ranger

One of the people Team Max@Play is looking forward to seeing is Walter Emmanuel Jones who, for us, is best known as Zack Taylor The Black Ranger from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Born and raised in Detroit, this is an awesome return for the wielder of the awesome Mastodon Dinozord.

The musical performances are always clutch and this year we’re expecting artist Mark Cooper to bring it. His “Nerdy” style of rap and production has graced many stages and is certain to entertain.

Another amazing voice actor that we’re excited to meet is Jessie Flowers best known as the voice of Toph Beifong in Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender. Coming all the from Los Angeles to show some love and keep the awesome energy flowing.

Let us not forget the many cosplayers coming to showcase their crafts. The halls of the Renaissance Center Marriott and The TCF Convention Center will be overflowing with amazing Armor, stitch work, props, and overall fandom. What are you most excited about?
